KSP took control of the proceedings right from the word go, jumping to a comfortable lead which they never squandered.

Ravindra and Sanoj, the KSP spikers, led their attack in a fine manner and the Policemen’s blockers too were in good nick on the day.

The story was no different in the second set as well with HMT struggling against the firepower of their opponents, making a few unforced errors to give away some cheap points.

There were pockets when HMT managed to put up some resistance, but they could not prevent KSP from bagging the set 25-17.

The third set followed a similar pattern as the previous two. KSP, under the stewardship of Nagesh, kept a comfortable distance from their rivals. Despite substituting their main spikers, the Policemen had enough ammunition in their ranks to take third set 25-17 to complete the  rout.

In another match, SWR posted a 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23) win over MEG.
Results: KSP bt HMT 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-17); SWR bt MEG 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23); CIL bt SAI 3-2 (25-19, 23-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-11).
