Traffic to be diverted for Siddaramiah's swearing-in

Traffic around Kanteerava stadium will be diverted on Monday during the oath-taking ceremony of Siddaramaiah.

No parking zones

KG Road: Both sides of Hudson Circle - Siddalingaiah Circle –Queen’s Road – Nrupatunga Road. Vittal Mallya Hospital Road: Siddalingaiah Circle – RRM Circle - RRM Junction – Hudson Circle.

Parking zones

Entry for VIPs with passes has been arranged at Gate 1 of Kanteerava Stadium. Other VIPs are allowed to park their vehicles on the grounds of the St Joseph’s Indian High School. Senior government officers can enter the stadium’s Gate no 4 and park vehicles at the UB City parking lot. All types of police vehicles should be parked at Beereshwara temple grounds on the left of the Vittal Mallya Hospital.

Public vehicles

Parking for the general public is available on one side of Bannappa Park, Cubbon Park (from Hudson Circle to the Central Library), King’s Road, Balabhavan Road and Residency Road (Cash Pharmacy Junction to Ashirvadam Junction).

Private buses and other vehicles can be parked at Freedom Park and KG Road (Police Corner to Shikshara Sadana Road).

A massive security presence has been planned for the high-profile event. As large numbers of VIP, VVIP’s, public representatives, senior judges and retired bureaucrats are expected to attend the ceremony, members of the public attending the event should expect to face stringent security checks.

Public are to be seated at the venue between 9 and 10.30 am.

Entry could be prevented after 10.30 am.

Banned items

Items such as handbags, cameras, food, bottles, balloons, and flags have been banned.
“Seven DCPs will supervise the security measures, 12 KSRP (Karnataka State Reserve Police) platoons, CAR (City Armed Reserve) and a total of 3,000 police personnel will be on security duty,” explained Additional Commissioner for Law and Order, Kamal Pant.
