Top seeds Kevin ML and Saif Ali put it past Anirudh Rajeev and Sai Pratheek 21-19, 21-7 to clinch the under-15 boys’ doubles title in the Devanahalli 3-Star State-ranking badminton tournament on Saturday.
The duo had beaten third seeds Nikhit Laxman and Saketh Upadhya 21-9, 21-16 in the semifinal while Anirudh and Sai Pratheek overwhelmed Ganesh Vittalji and Rahul V Reddy 21-16, 21-7.
Meanwhile, Karthik Vyakaranam and Saket CS claimed the under-13 boys’ doubles crown getting the better of Rohit Krishna and Shashank Reddy 21-13, 21-17.
In the girls’ section, top ranked Sarayu Vyakaranam and Sheetal Sudarshan eased to a 21-18, 21-14 win over Prarthana Vasudevan and Shivani A Pathi to pocket the under-15 doubles spoils.
