Minister to give up fisheries portfolio

Minister for Youth Services and Fisheries Abhayachandra Jain said on Sunday that he had decided to relinquish the fisheries portfolio, as it was against the principles of non-violence associated with his community.

Jain told reporters that people of his community had called him up and expressed objection to his accepting the portfolio. Thus, he had decided to give up the fisheries portfolio.
