Akhilesh Yadav to visit State

The Samajawadi Party, which for the first time won a Assembly seat in Karnataka, is all set to bring Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, on a two-day visit to State in June.

C P Yogeeshwara, SP MLA from Channapatna, said the party leader had agreed to the visit on June 13 and 14.

“We want to thank him for giving ticket from Channapatna. There will be a thanks giving function at Channapatna on June 14. He is expected to arrive in Bangalore on June 13.

After the function, he will visit the engineering college in Mysore, where he studied and is also planning to meet some of his friends there,” he said.

Yogeeshwara also said that Akhilesh might also meet chief minister and other ministers while he is in Bangalore.

Sources said Yogeeshwara was keen to become a minister in the Siddaramaiah’s Cabinet. In case if his plans do not materialise, he would then request the UPA government to appoint him to a board or corporation at the national-level, it is said.
