JOIN USA man allegedly killed his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter by hanging her to an iron angle and then committed suicide at his residence in Kotedi area here, police said on Saturday.
Twenty-eight-year-old Deepak Koli had a fight with his wife Anita after which she went to her parents house with their daughter.
Deepak had gone to bring her back home on Friday evening, but she refused to return, station house officer of Gumanpura police station Sanjay Sharma said.
Disappointed, Deepak brought his daughter Tanu home and killed her. He then hung himself, the officer said.
Their post-mortem was conducted on Saturday at Maharao Bheem Singh Hospital and the bodies were then handed over to the family members, he said. A case has been registered, he added.
In another incident, a 40-year-old man allegedly ended his life by hanging himself at his rented accommodation in Kayasthsarai on Thursday night, Kathunipol police said.
Anil Soni, was suffering from depression for quite some time and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, they said.
