The chance of a lifetime

Catch ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ on HBO at 11.32 pm on June 3. This movie, based on the Roald Dahl best-seller of the same name, is a whirlwind of colour, magic, fun and, of course, chocolate.

A young boy from a poor family dreams of a better life, which seems to be transforming into a reality when he hears about a competition being announced by a local chocolate-factory owner, Willy Wonka.

Wonka is providing five lucky children with a chance to enter his factory — a place shrouded in mystery — and experience its magic for themselves. The film stars Johnny Depp, Freddie Highmore, David Kelly, Helena Bonham Carter and Noah Taylor.

A battle of snakes

In ‘Boa Vs Python’, an enormous 80-foot python is being transported to the United States. In the middle of the journey, it escapes from the truck and starts terrorising the drains of Philadelphia. After having tried many things, the FBI finally
seeks the help of two fellow scientists.

One among them has been harbouring an enormous boa for years. Together, they try to slaughter the beast. But, they are not the only ones on the trail. An animal hunter named Roddick has recruited some of the best hunters in the world to bring this beast down. Who will succeed in the mission? Tune in to the movie on Sony Pix at 11 pm on June 3 to find out. It stars David Hewlett, Jaime Bergman, Kirk B.R. Woller, Adamo Palladino and Angel Boris Reed.

The worst mother-in-law!
 
Tune in to ‘Monster-in-Law’ on WB at 4.56 pm on June 3. After years of looking for Mr Right, Charlotte aka Charlie (played by Jennifer Lopez) finally finds the man of her dreams in Kevin Fields (essayed by Michael Vartan), only to discover that his mother, Viola (portrayed by Jane Fonda), is the woman of her nightmares. Viola is
determined to scare off her son’s new fiancée by being the world’s worst mother-
in-law.

Watch the hilarious turn of events when Charlie decides to give as good as she gets from her monster-in-law. The film also stars Wanda Sykes and Monet Mazur.

Time to face reality

Surrogates’ is set in the
future, when people are living safely and remotely and experience everything through their robotic surrogates.  

Life is ideal with no crime, pain or fear.  When a murder occurs to jolt this utopian lifestyle, it is up to FBI Agent Tom Greer (played by Bruce Willis) to step out of his own surrogate and take on the enemies.
 ‘Surrogates’ also stars Radha Mitchell, Rosamund Pike, Boris Kodjoe and Jack Noseworthy. Watch the film on Zee Studio at 5 pm on June 3.
