Special birthday for Shilpa

Actress Shilpa Shetty, who turned 38 recently, has received “apologies” from her husband Raj Kundra, who has been questioned in the IPL betting scandal. Businessman Kundra, a British national, and Shilpa are co-owners of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals. “Wishing my gorgeous wife Shilpa Shetty a very happy birthday.

Apologies for all this nonsense you have had to deal with. Truth is coming out (sic),” Raj posts. He also sent out a thank you message to megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who wished Shilpa on Twitter too. “Thank you sir. Your message on Shilpa’s birthday gives her a smile that no other message can. It always means a lot to her,” he tweets. Shilpa married Raj in 2009. They have a son Viaan, who turned one recently.

‘It’s been a long wait’

Ranveer Singh, who will soon be seen in period film Lootera, admits that he loved the experience of shooting for it. “It was very interesting to do a period film because a new world is created. I had no clue about the 1950s. So, to live a character who is living in that era was very interesting,” says Ranveer. “I did very interesting preparation before playing the character. I stopped watching television and using my mobile,” he says, adding, “I became very calm. I have given a very calm performance.”

His last release was the 2011 hit ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ and Ranveer wants to end the long wait with Lootera. Featuring Sonakshi Sinha in the female lead, the film is slated for a July 5 release. “One of my films is releasing after a very long time. It’s been 19 months since my last film was released. It’s been a long wait. I have seen the film and I am very happy. I am very excited and can’t wait for people to see it,” says the
27-year-old, who made his debut with blockbuster Band Bajaa Baaraat in 2010.

The actress was last seen in Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Shootout at Wadala’, in which she sizzled to the item song O Laila. Sunny made her Bollywood debut with Jism 2.
She will also be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s production ‘Ragini MMS 2’.
