Chitramandala inaugurated in Madikeri

He was speaking after inaugurating Bellimandala Chitra Samaja, at a function organised by Chitra Samaja and Information Department at Allaranda Rangachavadi in Karavele Badaga village on the outskirts of the city on Sunday.

Movies have the ability to make direct impact on the minds of people. Bellimandala organisation should work towards creating awareness regarding the film field in the society. Let it try to show good things in the films to the people, he advised.
Speaking on the occasion, Media Academy member G Rajendra said films help to lose one’s tensions and have a relaxed mind.
Information Officer Vinodchandra said movies can be the voice of the social situation and a tool for social transformation.

The films which were supportive for the origin of new thoughts and culture in the earlier years, are losing their quality in the recent years. There is a lack of films of good taste. It is the responsibility of the audience to welcome good films and reject the ones with bad taste, he noted. In his introductory address, Srinivas said the theatres are lacking audiences these days. The Chitramandala intends to find out reasons for the problems being faced by the film sector, to encourage people to view good films, to create a sense of film appreciation, he said. Bellimandala district convener Allaranda Vital Nanjappa, Akashvani Station Director Indira Yesupriya Gajaraj, FMC College lecturer T Rangappa, Galibeedu Navodaya Vidyalaya’s Maruthi Dasannanavar, Kalasagara institute’s Shivakumar took part in a film appreciation session that followed.
