Hoarded rice recovered in Bangarpet

The rice was meant to be sold at her fair price shop of Budikunte village. Venkataramgowda of the same village  is the owner of fair price shop which belongs to the Government owned VSSSN
Chandrashekar Gowda is the son of Venkataramgowda had allegedly transported 1,000 kg of rice illegally on Monday. As many as 20 bags of rice and 100 kg sugar was stored illegally in the farmhouse of Govindareddy, on the outskirts of
Chambenahalli. It is said that many of them were sent back, citing the shortage of stock in the rice and usgar in the shop.

Growing suspicious over the shortage of stock, Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti Hobli Convener Ramesh followed the vehicle which was transporting the ration in the wee hours on Monday. The vehicle was spotted near the farm house in Chambenahalli.
Tahsildar Dakshayani visited the spot and sieged the rice bags.  Circle inspector G Keshavamurthy, Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti District Convener  Sulikunte Ramesh, Food Inspector  Venkataramanappa, Swamy, Revenue Inspector Ranganath, village accountant Shivanna were part of the team.

Speaking to the media officer Dakshayani said that a case has been registered against the owner of fair price shop and his licence will be cancelled. Making an alternative arrangement for the distribution of ration she said that ration will be distributed in some other fair price shop. She also said that the documents of the shops will be confiscated.
