Three traffic policemen suspended.

Three traffic policemen were suspended for allegedly receiving money from traffic offenders, without giving them receipts. 

Seenaiah, an assistant sub-inspector attached to Upparpet traffic police station; Thammaiah, sub-inspector and Ramesh, constable, Magadi Road, are the suspended, said sources in the Police department.

“We received some complaints about the three. They had received the money, without issuing receipts to the violators,  while on duty on June 11. ACP Lakshmipathi Gowda conducted an internal inquiry and found them guilty. They were suspended based on the ACP’s  recommendations,” said M A Saleem, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Security).

As many as 27 policemen of ASI, PSI and constable ranks had been suspended this year, and most of the cases were reported in the Western zone, Saleem added.
