Poojitha bags womens crown; Subashree scores

Karthik, seeded second, ousted fourth-seeded Anirban Tarafdar of Canara Bank 12-10, 9-11, 11-4, 11-7, 11-6 in the men’s section. 

Karthik, the top seed in the youth boys’ category, then posted a comfortable 12-10, 11-9, 11-5, 11-6 win over second seed club-mate Sandeep MV to complete the double.
In the women’s section, top-seeded Poojitha N of Mount Carmel College clinched the title with a hard-fought 9-11, 11-7, 11-5, 11-6, 8-11, 6-11, 11-8 win over Subashree.
Subashree made amends for her loss in the women’s final by clinching the youth girls’ crown. She overcame Arpita of JTTA 6-11, 12-10, 11-6, 11-6, 8-11, 11-4.
