Film buffs have been looking forward to Prakash Jha’s upcoming flick, Satyagraha, for a while and now, they have even more reason to await the film.

The film-maker is reportedly bringing Gandhian values to the 21st century by modifying the iconic bhajan, Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram, for his latest film.

This change is a joint effort between Prakash and lyricist Prasoon Joshi, who felt that they needed to tweak the song to make it more relevant to present times.

Ask him if he needed permission to use the song and he says, “It’s a universal song and a prarthana (prayer). We haven’t changed the lines, just the context has been changed. The content reflects today’s age.”

Satyagraha stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Ajay Devgan among others.
