JOIN USA 22-year-old mechanic was hacked to death by his friends over a trivial issue in Hanumanthanagar on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Vinay, a resident of Guttahalli in KG Nagar. Kulla, an associate of Vinay who was injured in the attack, has been admitted to KIMS hospital.
According to sources, Kulla has identified the assailants as Pradeep, 23, Deepu and Ajay both 24, Shiva, 22 and Ganesha, 25. Three more — Manjunath, Srinivas and Manjunath alias Dadiya — are also allegedly involved in the crime. All the suspects are residents of Guttahalli and work as mechanics and auto drivers. All are absconding and police have launched a search to nab them.
Police said Pradeep and Vinay had a bitter tiff over a trivial issue on Sunday evening. Pradeep and other assailants armed with lethal weapons arrived in three autos and located Vinay near a hotel in Muneshwara Block. He was hacked to death after being chased for some distance.
Kulla, who tried to rescue Vinay, was also attacked.
