FMCI to organise 'Arogyotsava' from Nov 6

The expo is held as part of decennial celebration of FMMC



Informing the same to media persons here on Tuesday, FMCI Director Rev Fr Patrick Rodrigues said that the exhibition would cover all aspects of health which includes human body, its various parts and disease causative factors with a provision to clarify health related doubts with specialists.
Stating that the exhibition is first of its kind, Fr Rodrigues said that there will be over 50 stalls covering different aspects of health and health related issues. Literature related to health education will also be available at the exhibition venue. In addition, blood test and blood grouping facilities has also been arranged, he informed.

FMMC Administrator Fr Denis D’Sa said that the highlight of the exhibition includes an exhibition about health and hygiene, identification and prevention of common diseases and treatment; Video presentation on health related topic; Charts, power point presentations on disease development; On-the-spot quiz contests for the public with attractive prizes; Skits, puppet shows. Apart from this, fun filled games and many more entertainment stalls will also be part of the utsav, he informed.

The exhibition will be held from 9 am to 7 pm on November 6, 7 and 8. However, the exhibition will be inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj on November 6 at 4 pm. There will be no entry fee for students upto PUC. However, the adults will be charged a nominal fee of Rs 5 per head. The entry to the exhbition is from Pumpwell (Mahaveera circle). Already a number of schools have booked their entry to the expo, he said and added that a help desk will be set up to help the visitors.

FMMCH Administrator Fr Stany Tauro, FMCI Medical Services Chief Dr B Sanjeev Rai, FMMC Dean Dr J P Alva and Fr Mullers Nursing College Head Sr Jacintha among others were present.
