Hoysala's all-round effort spurs Neptune CC to innings victory

 K Hoysala starred with a match haul of 11 wickets, including a six-for in the first innings, to power Neptune Cricket Club to a commanding innings and 15 runs victory over Jaidur Cricketers in the KSCA Group I Division II tournament for the Sri MAT Acharya Shield here.

Hoysala’s first innings figures of six for 59 played a crucial role in Neptune dismissing Jaidur for 203 in 50.2 overs. Shaik Laiquddin (90) and Bhavesh Gulechha (42) were the only ones to make notable contributions for Jaidur as the rest of the batsmen struggled to make any impact.

Although Neptune too struggled with their batting, decent efforts from D Raghavendra (51), Nihal F Shilar (41), Arjun Gowda (36) and Suhel Semitha (34) helped them post 383 before being bowled out in 88 overs.

Laiquddin cracked a fighting 101 in Jaidur’s second essay but with the rest of the batsmen comming a cropper again and Hoysala grabbing five for 46, they were shot out for 165 in 43.4 overs, succumbing to a crushing loss.

In a drawn match, Jayanagar Colts came away with three points against Jolly Cricketers after gaining the crucial first innings lead.
