A teenager was killed and his father escaped with minor injuries when they were knocked down by a concrete mixer at Gunjur in Whitefield on Thursday morning.
Rohith, 15, was riding pillion with his father Ramesh, when the accident occurred. Ramesh is a construction worker and his son, who discontinued his studies, was helping him. They were on their way to Varthur when the speeding concrete mixer hit them from behind.
When both of them fell down, the cement mixer ran over Rohith killing him on the spot. The driver surrendered before Varthur police.
