A 16-year-old girl has alleged rape by a married man on the pretext of marriage at east Delhi’s Ghazipur.

The accused, who claimed to be an Indian Air Force officer, is absconding, police said on Friday.

The victim lives with parents in Pandav Nagar and is a class 12 student in a nearby school. In her police complaint, the girl also stated that Durgesh Pandey had solemnised marriage with her in a temple to win her trust and even took her to Goa on honeymoon.
Further ordeal

“It is alleged that she was raped in Goa several times,” a police officer said.
They had first met in 2012, when Durgesh allegedly posed as an IAF officer to befriend her. “The accused later began to meet the victim frequently and proposed marriage,” the officer added.

He used to take her to a rented house in Ghazipur, where he established physical relations with her.

Whenever the victim tried to spurn his advances, he used to persuade her by promising marriage the next month.

Police said in the recent past, after the victim returned from Goa, she discovered that Durgesh was an unemployed married man. The victim informed her parents, who filed a police complaint. A case was registered with Ghazipur police station. A manhunt has been launched to nab him.
