JOIN US The number two seed Akshay Srinivas thwarted the challenge posed by Nikhilshyam Sriram to clinch the under-15 boys’ singles title in the Sunlites 5-Star State-ranking badminton tournament here on Sunday.
The top-seeded Apeksha Nayak came through against Archana Pai to win the under-15 girls’ singles title while Richa Muktibodh won a three-set thriller against Trisha Hegde to be crowned the under-13 girls’champion.
In the boys’ under-13 section, second seed Tejas Sanjay overcame top seed Kartik Vyakaranam 21-18, 21-13 to bag the crown.
