India's SA tour starts on Nov 18

India’s tour of South Africa later this year will commence with the visitors playing T20 and 50-over internationals against the hosts before taking them on in a three-Test series. 

According to the schedule of the matches released on Monday by Cricket South Africa (CSA), India will commence their tour with a T20 tour match against a SA Invitation XI at Potchefstroom on November 18 to gear up for the two-match T20 International series slated for November 21 and 24. The visitors will then plunge into the best-of-seven ODI rubber, to be held between November 27 and December 15, prior to engaging the world’s top-ranked team in a three-Test rubber from December 26 this year to January 19, 2014.

The three Tests will be played at Kingsmead (Durban), Sahara Park Newlands (Capetown) and the Wanderers (Johannesburg).

They will play two two-day warm-up games before the Test series.

Ind season from Sept 26

The three-team N K P Salve Challenger Series 50-over tournament will kick off the upcoming domestic season on September 26 with one-day champions Delhi taking on India ‘A’, reports PTI from Mumbai.

The final of the tournament, in which India ‘B’ is the third competing team, is scheduled for September 29 at a venue yet to be decided.

The schedule: NKP Salve Challenger series (All D/N ties, venue to be announced): September 26: Delhi vs India A; Sept 27: India A vs India B; Sept 28: Delhi v India B; Sept 29: Final.

Duleep Trophy (in South Zone): Oct 3-6: South Zone vs West Zone; Oct 10-13: East Zone vs North Zone; Oct 10-13: Central Zone vs winers of South vs West; Oct 17-21: Final.
