Strange incident caught on tape

Watch ‘Super 8’ on HBO at 4.46 pm on July 15. In the summer of 1979, in a small Ohio town, six friends spend their time making a zombie movie with an 8mm camera. They end up witnessing a catastrophic train crash. But soon, they suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local deputy tries to uncover the truth — something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined. The film stars Elle Fanning, AJ Michalka, Kyle Chandler, Joel Courtney and Jessica Tuck.

An odd guest to have

Tune in to ‘Dunston Checks In’ on Star Movies at 5.10 pm on July 15. When a guest with an orangutan checks into one of the most posh hotels in the city, the hapless manager tries to settle the monkey business and keep his finicky boss under control. ‘Dunston Checks In’ stars Jason Alexander, Faye Dunaway, Eric Lloyd, Rupert Everett and Graham Sack.

Trapped in a loveless marriage

Watch ‘The Duchess’ on Zee Studio at 1 pm on July 15. Georgina (played by Keira Knightley) is but 17 years old when she marries the Duke of Devonshire. She soon finds out that her marriage is absolutely loveless and its purpose is to beget a male heir. She gives birth to two daughters and has several miscarriages before a son is born to them.

After that, the Duke goes on to have an affair with Bess (essayed by Hayley Atwell), Georgina’s friend. Watch Georgina struggle to get a life of her own. The movie also stars Ralph Fiennes, Charlotte Rampling and Dominic Cooper.

More than their regular duty

Cop Out’ stars Bruce Willis, Tracy Morgan, Juan Carlos Hernández, Cory Fernandez and Ana de la Reguera. In this film, Jimmy is a veteran detective whose missing baseball card collectible is his only hope to pay for his daughter’s upcoming wedding.
Meanwhile, Paul is his partner-against-crime of sorts. The two cops find themselves entangled with a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster, rescuing a Mexican beauty with the key to millions in laundered drug money, and everything else that’s not in a day’s work for the detective duo. Catch the film on WB at 6.50 pm on July 15.

Struggling to fulfil a request

In ‘Ninja’, Casey (played by Scott Adkins) from New York goes to Japan to study ‘Ninjutsu’. The ‘Sensei’ request him to return to his hometown to protect the legendary Yoroi Bitsu — an armoured chest that contains weapons that used to belong to Koga Ninja. Will Casey be able to carry out their request? Catch the film on Sony Pix at 4.55 pm on July 15 to find out. It also stars Tsuyoshi Ihara, Mika Hijii, Todd Jensen and Togo Igawa.
