Looking out for each other

Nine entrepreneurs based in Indiranagar have collaborated to increase footfall in their stores.

The result of this is ‘Go-Local’, an initiative launched by them recently.

They conducted ‘I love Indiranagar’, a meet, during which they discussed the kind of initiatives that they will launch in the future and how these will help them promote their business and increase the cross footfall of people in these shops.

The Rapid Loyalty programme, which has been launched recently by this group, will benefit the customers in a unique way.

It will help them gain points at a store where they shop and later, they can redeem these points at any of the nine stores.

The members also intend to conduct clean-up drives in the area, so as to give back what they get from the society.

Nina, the president of the group, says that the concept is fresh and stands out. “All of us are more than happy to be a part of a group that is so unique. It helps us in promoting each others’ business and also in supporting each other. We have become very good friends and have come up with innovative ideas for the residents. We have made postcards which compliment each of our stores. Very soon, we will conduct a walk, where we will encourage residents to interact with the local businessmen. This will help them in getting to know us better,” she says.

The members are happy with the collaboration and say that it has a personal touch to it. Jayanti Bhattacharya, co-owner of TL, a leather boutique, says, “‘Go-Local’ is an amazing platform for like-minded business people to collaborate. It is a brilliant idea as clients are acquainted with all nine stores and hence, we share the same clients and earn their loyalty.”

The members also exhibited their products at the meet and talked about how it all started.

Zarine, the owner of a Parsi eatery, says that she had started her business with just three tables and now has her own hotel. This is her way of contributing to the neighbourhood that has given her so much.

“We care for Indiranagar as we have been dwelling here for many years. The
collaboration is not only helping us in promoting our exclusive brands but also gives us an opportunity to work together towards consumer satisfaction and welfare,” she sums up.
