Representatives of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysore, met officials of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on Wednesday, to decide on the contentious issue of seat sharing between the government and the management.

A number of students who had opted for seats at the prestigious college under the CET were in for a shock when they found out that the college authorities had withdrawn the seats on the grounds that the government had taken more than its share.

The college authorities had moved the High Court of Karnataka in this regard. The court had ruled in the favour of the college.

The final decision will be made soon, said S P Kulkarni, Administrative Officer, KEA.
Meanwhile, Comed-K has announced on its website that the surrender of seats got in the first round will not be allowed during or after the second round of counselling that begins on July 19.

Only change of course and college will be allowed. However, a candidate may hold on to the seat allotted during first round.

July 22 is the last date for entering options.
