Meeting to appraise Hoysala patrolling

Addressing the media in Bangalore, Acharya said the crime detection had improved in the last few months. The government, however, was open to review the Hoysala patrolling system as part of a confidence building measure among the people.Hoysala network consists of special mobile units used by City police for patrolling.

A separate wing

A separate intelligence wing in the police department had been set up to track down supari killings, he said and disagreed that murder rate in Bangalore was on the rise.

Replying to queries, Acharya said Crime Investigation Department (CID) which is investigating into the “love jehad”, an alleged conspiracy by a section of a minority community youth to lure girls of other communities into marriage and force them to religious conversion, will submit its reports within the next three days.
