RPF security restored at Lalu's Patna bungalow

The RPF security at the bungalow of former Railway Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad, which was withdrawn, has been restored, official sources said.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel have been brought back to guard the bungalow of former Railway Minister here last night itself, Railway sources said.

When contacted, Chief Security Commissioner, East Central Railway, Neeraj Sinha said the security personnel would continue to guard the bungalow till further order.

The authorities had on Tuesday withdrawn the RPF security from the 10, Circular Road residence of Lalu Prasad following instructions from the RPF headquarters, a top RPF official had said on condition of anonymity.

Prasad has been accorded Z-plus security category by the Union Home ministry following threat to his life from communal forces and Maoists.

The East Central Railway has also dismantled the Railways camp office erected at the bungalow premises.

The bungalow, where Prasad stays, is allotted in the name of his wife and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi.
