The High Court on Thursday ordered issue of notice to Lokayukta following a petition by former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in connection with the denotification of 3.08 acres of land at Thanisandra near Nagavara in Bangalore.
Kumaraswamy had moved the High Court seeking to quash proceedings initiated by the Lokayukta Court as well as seeking an exemption from appearing before it.
Justice K N Keshavanarayana heard the petition. He also refused to exempt Kumaraswamy from appearing before the Court, citing apex court order not to interfere in trial court orders.
Special Lokayukta judge N K Sudhindra Rao had directed the Lokayukta to investigate the denotification and submit a report.
