As many as 200 children from various orphanages, government and other private schools in the City, some of whom have been victims of sexual abuse, will showcase their experiences in dealing with the trauma at a unique programme in the City on Friday.
These children also represent 27 child parliaments across the City. Child rights organisation International Services Association is organising the programme.
There will be as many as five to seven representatives from each parliament.
Expressions
Titled ‘Expressions,’ the programme will be held at Bal Bhavan in Cubbon Park and will see these children using various art forms like drama and singing to not only express the pain of going through the experience of abuse and exploitation, but will also showcase the process of healing and gradual recovery.
