Certificate programme

»KPMG and NIIT Imperia have joined hands to launch an advanced certificate programme in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).  

The six-week certificate programme, which commences on December 2, 2009, is designed to assist companies and individuals on the forthcoming convergence from Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The training will be conducted simultaneously across several cities using NIIT's Synchronous Learning Technology. This will allow practising professionals to be in a classroom close to their place of work. This programme is designed for the better understanding and absorption of the transition process. Indian accounting and finance fraternity and those others who are interested may log on to for further information about the programme.

Interior design course

»NMKRV College for Women, jointly with Creators & Designers Institute of Interior Design, will be starting a part-time one-year Diploma course in Interior Design for housewives and students starting November 26, 2009. Admissions are open for two batches which will be conducted between 11 am-1 pm, and 3 pm-5 pm with limited seats.

The course syllabus and curriculum is designed to equip every student with the basics of interior design,  vaastu, landscaping, colours, flooring, furniture, plumbing and sanitary, false ceiling, lighting, accoustics, rain water harvesting, solar power system, security and safety, material seminar, site visits, case studies and field training are the integral part of the course.

»GREI-IGNOU Community College invites applications for a two-year associate degree in Commerce, Management, Science and Arts courses. Classes are scheduled to begin by January 2010. Candidates must have a pass mark in PUC.
