Dasara tour package unveiled

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), on Thursday, announced the departure details of the ‘Mysore Tour Package’ for Dasara from October 2 to 20.

Fares have been fixed at Rs 1,000 for adults and Rs 800 for children. Sources added that the first schedule will depart from the Majestic bus station at 6 am, reach the Mysore Road Satellite bus station at 6.10 am and leave for Mysore from there at 6.15 am.

“Travellers boarding the bus at either of these locations must report to the bus station at least 20 minutes before departure,” the release said.

The bus will stop for breakfast at Mudagere Kamath (hotel), near Maddur between 7.50 am and 8.15 am. A visit to the Daria Daulat, Fort, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple has been scheduled from 10 am to 11.45 am, followed by an hour-long stopover at the Chamundi
Hill Temple, Mysore, an hour later.

“Lunch has been arranged at the Mysore zoo between 2.15 pm and 2.45 pm. After that, a visit of the zoo is scheduled between 3 pm and 4.05 pm,” the release said.

From here, the bus will reach the Mysore palace at 4.15 pm, concluding the visit to the city at 5.20 pm. At 5.50 pm, a visit of the illuminated Brindavan Gardens (KRS) is scheduled, following which the bus will depart for Bangalore at 7.45 pm. Dinner will be provided at Mudagere Kamath (hotel) between 9 pm and 9.30 pm and the tour will end at 11.15 pm at Majestic in Bangalore.

Second schedule

Similarly, the second schedule will depart from Shantinagar TTMC at 6.30 am, reach Mysore Road Satellite bus station at 6.40 am and leave for Mysore at 6.45 am.
Although the itinerary of this tour will closely resemble the first schedule, there will be a time difference of 30 minutes as the bus departs at 6.30 in the morning and not at 6 am. The tour will end at the Shantinagar TTMC at 11.45 pm.
