The DSS is alleging irregularities in the utilisation of funds of at least 18 per cent of the funds allotted under the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, in the taluk.
They will also be protesting against the outsourcing of contract system of labour to daily wage employees in the Social Welfare Department and Backward Classes Welfare Department.
In a press release, DSS co-ordinator B V Anand has informed that a protest and a hunger strike will be observed in front of the office of the taluk panchayat executive officer.
