JOIN USSantrupth Chandra’s superb eight-wicket haul for the match helped President’s XI overwhelm Combined Mofussil XI by 10 wickets in the KSCA inter-zonal (under-19) tournament here.
After being bowled out for 193 in 69.5 overs in their first innings, President’s XI skittled out Combined Mofussil for 68 in 30 overs.
Santrupth scalped four wickets while conceding just two runs to wreck the Combined Mofussil batting while Prasidh M Krishna (3/21) and Ravi Kiran (2/31) claimed five wickets between them in a supporting act to hand President’s a 125-run first-innings lead.
Following on, Combined Mofussil were bundled out for 133 in 67.4 overs as Santrupth picked up four for 25 while Prasidh (3/2) and Ravi Kiran (2/31) completed the demolition act. Vishnu struck 61 in vain for Combined Mofussil.
Set a target of nine runs to win, President’s romped home in three overs with all wickets intact.
