A strange taste of fantasy

Inkheart’ is a fantasy flick based on Mortimer Folchart, Resa and Meggie. Mortimer and his wife, Resa, are narrating a story to their daughter Meggie.

But strangely enough, when Mortimer starts narrating the story, every character from the tale comes into reality. Soon, the family find themselves caught up in a strange world of mystical people and happenings. Tune in to the film on WB at 6.53 pm on September 7.

It stars Brendan Fraser, Eliza Bennett, Paul Bettany, Helen Mirren, Rafi Gavron and Andy Serkis.

Suspicious addition to the family

The Stepfather’ airs on Zee Studio at 2.55 pm on September 7. In this film, Michael had been in military school.  He comes home to find that his mother Susan is in love and living with her new boyfriend David Harris. Michael soon begins to suspect that David is a notorious serial killer who preys on broken families.

Will he be able to gather evidence against David before it becomes too late? Catch the film to find out. It stars Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Penn Badgley, Amber Heard and Jon Tenney.

In search of adventure

Catch ‘Up!’ on Star Movies at 10.30 am on September 7. The animated movie is a touching tale about fulfilling dreams and adventure.

   When Carl was young, he met Ellie who is keen on having an adventure. The two dream of going to a lost land in South America. Seventy years later, Ellie is no more and Carl is keen to make their dream come true.

   It comes about in a strange fashion — he flies away along with his house, only to find a stowaway on board.  They meet talking dogs, a terrible villain and an extremely strange bird called Kevin.

The world behind the wardrobe

Watch ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ on HBO at 6.04 pm on September 7.

 In this movie, four children — Lucy, Edmund, Peter  and Susan go to live with an old professor during the war.

   As they play hide and seek, Lucy finds a hidden wardrobe. When they open the door, the children reach the magical land of Narnia. But Narnia is ruled by the evil White Witch, who has made it snow there for a century.

   According to an old prophecy, the four kids are the chosen ones who will defeat the witch. 

   Catch the film to find out how they go about it. It stars Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley, Anna Popplewell and Tilda Swinton.
