On a mission

Tune in to the comedy film ‘Shanghai Knights’ on Zee Studio at 1 pm on September 11. In this movie, Chon Wang’s father and keeper of the Imperial Seal has been murdered by Rathbone, who steals the Imperial Seal. Chon Wang’s sister Lin witnesses the murder and follows Rathbone to London to kill him. 

She sends Wang a letter informing him of the murder. Wang then travels to New York and meets Roy O’Bannon. Together they travel to England and join Lin to kill Rathbone and get the Imperial Seal back. The movie stars Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson, Fann Wong, Aaron Johnson and Aidan Gillen.

Torn in love

Catch ‘Just Between Friends’ on MGM Channel at 2 pm on September 11. Holly and Sandy become friends easily in an aerobics class.  However, they don’t know that they have a lot of things in common, including being in love with the same man. When tragedy strikes, their relationship is tested. Will their friendship survive? The movie stars Mary Tyler Moore, Julie Payne, Beverly Sanders, Salome Jens and Ted Danson. 

A dangerous night

Watch ‘Quarantine’ on WB at 9 pm on September 11. Television reporter Angela Vidal and her cameraman are on work at the Los Angeles fire station. 

A call takes them to an apartment building where they find police officers responding to screams coming from one of the apartment units.

They soon learn that a woman living in the building has been infected by something unknown. 

After a few residents are viciously attacked, they try to escape with the news crew in tow, only to find that the CDC has quarantined the building. 

Phones, internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. 

When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew’s videotape. 

Terrified by his in-laws

Watch ‘Meet the Parents’ on Sony Pix at 9 pm on September 11. Greg Focker, a Jewish male nurse, plans to ask his girlfriend to marry him.

 However, he learns that her father is strict and expects to be asked for his daughter’s hand before she can accept. From here begins Greg’s visit to the hell. His girlfriend’s father turns out to be former CIA with a lie detector in the basement. Everything goes wrong and things go miserable with the disappearance of the dad’s beloved Himalayan cat.

A world of waste

Tune in to ‘Wall-E’ on Star Movies at 9 pm on September 11.
 In the animation film, the plot is set in the distant future when all human beings have left earth, as the planet is fully covered with waste. 

Wall-E is a robot staying alone on earth to collect all the rubbish and probably make the earth habitable again. 

Watch the film to see what happens when Eve, a sleek robot, is sent to earth to check out on what’s happening.  

Driven by animal instincts

Watch ‘The Animal’ on HBO at 10.32 am on September 11. 

   In the movie, Marvin doesn’t have what it takes to fulfill his lifelong dream — to be a policeman. His luck changes when he’s seriously injured in a car accident and a deranged scientist secretly uses animal organs to rebuild him. 

Energised by his new parts, Marvin leaves his weakness behind and achieves instant fame as a super cop.    

 Now a hero, life is going great for Marvin — until his animal instincts start taking over his body at all the wrong times. 

Marvin struggles to remain civilised and be a perfect gentleman with his new love, Rianna, in a series of hilarious situations that would drive any animal crazy. The movie stars Rob Schneider, Colleen Haskell, John C. McGinley, Ed Asner and Michael Caton.
