In search of a mate

Watch ‘Hisss’ on Sony Pix at 2.32 pm on September 12. The story of ‘Hisss’ revolves around a ruthless American, who is fascinated by the ancient folklore of the nagin, and travels to India to find out the truth. George States decides to capture a male cobra with hopes of obtaining nagmani from a nagin.

He hires workers in the jungles of Tamil Nadu, who witness the intimacy of the cobras, capture the male and allow the female to escape. George then holds the male cobra in a glass cage and says he will release it in exchange for nagmani. The nagin transforms into a femme fatale and comes to the modern world to track down her lover.

She wreaks revenge on those who stand in the way of their reunion and also on her mate’s captors. Her desperate search and subsequent quest for revenge results in a breakneck chase with a trail of bodies and narrow escapes. The movie stars Mallika Sherawat, Divya Dutta, Irrfan Khan and Jeff Doucette.

An ordinary boy becomes star

Watch ‘The Waterboy’ on Zee Studio at 8.35 pm on September 12. In the movie, Bobby Boucher lives in Louisiana with his mother Helen who is overprotective. Bobby Boucher is the lowly waterboy for the football team at a local college. He is constantly insulted by the team and their coach.

When Bobby is fired from his job, he has no choice but to join their rival college as the waterboy. The coach discovers Bobb’s talent for tackling people much bigger than him. The coach signs the waterboy as the new star player, but Bobby must keep it as a secret from his mother. The movie stars Adam Sandler, Kathy Bates, Henry Winkler, Fairuza Balk and Jerry Reed.

Unlucky in love

Tune in to Kahin Pyar Na Ho Jaye on Movies OK at 11.50 am on September 12. Prem lives with his sister Neelu and brother-in-law Vinod. They run a music band and perform during weddings. Prem is in love with Nisha and they plan to get married.

But she leaves him for a rich man when she needs money to solve a family problem. Prem is devastated and becomes a drunkard. Months later, Priya enters his life. He begins to forget Nisha and falls in love with Priya.

But before he can propose for marriage, she invites him to her engagement party. The film stars Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Pooja Batra, Raveena Tandon and Kashmira Shah.

Trail in Thailand continues

Tune in to ‘Hangover II’ on HBO 9 pm on September 12. In the sequel to the hilarious flick, Stu is getting married. Along with Doug, Phil, and his soon-to-be brother-in-law Teddy, he invites Alan to Thailand for the wedding.

After a quiet night on the beach, Stu, Alan and Phil wake up in an apartment in Bangkok.
Doug is back at the resort, but Teddy is missing, there’s a monkey with a severed
finger, Alan’s head is shaved, Stu has a tattoo on his face, and they can’t
remember how it all happened.

The wolf-pack retrace their steps through strip clubs, tattoo parlours and
cocaine-dealing monkeys on the streets of Bangkok as they try and find Teddy before the wedding.

An accidental affair

Catch ‘Yes Boss’ on UTV Movies at 9.30 am on September 12. Rahul is a very ambitious man who works for Siddharth.

Siddharth wants easy money and is considered to be crazy about women. He marries a rich woman and lives off her, managing her family business.

Seema is also ambitious and aspires to be a model. When Siddharth meets her, he promises her the skies.

Seema doesn’t know that he is already married and hopes to become his wife some day to fulfil her dreams of getting rich. But fate has something else in store for Rahul and Seema.

Lost in the jungle

Tune in to ‘Jackie Chan’s Who Am I?’ on WB at 10.30 am on September 12. Jackie Chan, a top secret militant soldier, crashes into a South African forest after his mission to kidnap three scientists working on a lethal energy project, has gone awry.

When he wakes up in a village, Jackie has no memory of who he is, thus being addressed as ‘Who Am I’. His journey with aid from two female sidekicks to find out his identity leads him all the way to Rotterdam, where he discovers the location of the organisation that kidnapped the three scientists.

With no memory, Chan is thirsty for answers by any means. The film stars Jackie Chan, Michelle Ferre, Yamamoto Mirai, Ron Smerczak, Ed Nelson and  Washington Xisolo. 

Tricks with a bullet

Watch ‘Wanted’ on Star Movies at 9 pm on September 12. The movie is about Wesley Gibson, who hates his life. He works as a clerk and is tired of his boss who humiliates him constantly.

Wesley’s girlfriend cheats on him by sleeping with his best friend and colleague. That is when Wesley meets Fox. She brings excitement into his life when she tells him about his own father who had been part of a secret ancient organisation headed by Sloan.

They persuade Wesley to become a part of that group. Tune in to the movie to see how his life is transformed overnight. The film stars James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, Common and Thomas Kretschmann.
