Summons to garment firm

 
Later, a meeting took place between Commissioner for Labour Ravi Shankar and the workers’ representatives.

The Commissioner assured that summons would be issued against the company to its Managing Director Manoj Goenka, sources told Deccan Herald.

“If no concrete steps are taken by the company by Monday to assuage the workers’ complaints, we would stage a sit-in protest in front of the residence of Minister for Labour, M N Bacche Gowda to make him take note of the gravity of the situation,” said an activist attached to the garment workers.
