Lured woman to his home with job promise

Jaipur police have filed a case against the Minister of State for Khadi and Village Industries Babulal Nagar for raping a married woman.

The woman was lured to his residence on the promise of providing her a job. An FIR was registered on the direction of a court.

The victim got her statement recorded before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate No: 9 on September 13.

The court directed the Sodala police to register a complaint against the minister for rape.
In her complaint, the woman said Babulal Nagar asked her to visit him at his residence at Civil Lines residence on September 11 during the day.

She reached his house about 5 pm after she received a call from the minister. On her arrival, the minister offered her a drink and assured suitable jobs for her as well as her family members, according to the police. She in her complaint said the minister then went inside his room and asked her to come to the room. The woman followed him to the room.

Babulal then asked her to remove his clothes and sexually assaulted the victim. She said the minister warned her against revealing this to anyone.

The woman said when she resisted his advances he threatened her that she would face the fate of Bhawari Devi, the ANM who was allegedly kidnapped and killed by the Congress MLAs  Mahipal Maderna and Malkhan Singh.

The Sodala police have registered a case under sections 376 for rape and 323, punishment for voluntarily causing hurt against the minister.

However, the minister could not be reached for his comments. Controversial Babulal Nagar was earlier was in-charge of the Food and Civil Supplies. But after allegations of corruption against him, he has been shifted to Khadi and Village Industries.
