Ties with YSR family 'emotional', says Reddy

Janardhana Reddy, owner of Obulapuram Mining Company(OMC), who was the prime player in the recent political crisis in Karnataka, said he was ready to undergo “any punishment” if the TDP proved its allegation that he or OMC invested money in Sakshi Media House owned by YSR’s son and Kadapa Congress MP, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
The TDP also alleged that Jagan was a benami beneficiary of a share of OMC profits and that he is a benami partner of the Reddy brothers’ businesses.

Responding to questions on these issues, Reddy admitted to an “emotional attachment” with the YSR family but asserted that neither YSR nor his son had invested a “single paisa” in his business nor did he invest anything in their business.
Reddy took on his critics, especially the TDP chief who is in the forefront of a campaign to bring the ‘irregularities’ of the Reddy brothers’ mining business.

He asserted here on Friday that “even one lakh Chandrababus cannot do anything to me”.

Reddy labeled Naidu as a “closed chapter in AP politics” and said he would even campaign against him in the elections to prevent him from coming to power.

“Chandrababu’s comments were the ravings of a mad man and his behaviour is like that of a person who picks coins thrown on a dead body,” said Reddy.
