Traffic curbs for Prez visit

The traffic on the following routes will be diverted or blocked to facilitate the movement of President Pranab Mukherjee’s convoy on Monday and Tuesday.

According to the traffic police, the President will arrive at the HAL Airport at 5 pm on Monday evening. He will proceed to Raj Bhavan where he will stay for the night. The convoy of the President will take the following route:  HAL Airport Road - Airport Umbrella - Indiranagar 100ft Road Junction - Domlur Water Tank - CB Road Junction - ASC Centre - Trinity Church Circle - MG Road - Manipal Hospital Junction - Cubbon Road -  KR Road Junction - BRV Junction - Anil Kumble Circle - Queen’s Statute Circle - Queen’s Road - CTO Circle - Police Thimmaiah Circle and Raj Bhavan Road. It may taken an hour for the convoy to reach Raj Bhavan.

The President is scheduled to leave the City on Tuesday morning. He will leave Raj Bhavan at 9.45 am and his convoy will proceed to HAL Airport on the following route: Raj Bhavan Road - Ali Askar Road Junction- Infantry Road - Coffee Board junction - CTO Circle - Queen’s Road - Queen’s Statute Circle - MG Road - Anil Kumble Circle - BRV Junction - KR Road  Cubbon Road Junction - Manipal Centre - Webb’s Junction - Trinity Church Circle - ASC Centre - CB Road Junction - Domlur -  Indiranagar 100ft Road and reach Airport by 10:30 am.
Traffic police have said that all efforts would be made to minimise the restrictions on the movement of general traffic on these roads during movement of President’s convoy. They have requested the public to co-operate in view of the security requirements.
