MSc in International Environmental Management
The University of Northampton and the University of Madras would now be offering a joint MSc degree in International Environmental Management.
This programme will be delivered through a blended learning format consisting of online resources and intensive face-to-face tuition at the University of Madras.
The Masters course is flexible by design and would allow candidates to study at a pace which suits their circumstances and permits them to read for a UK degree whilst working and living in India.
Higgs boson course for online learners
Online learners around the world are being offered the chance to study the work of Edinburgh particle physicist Professor Peter Higgs as part of a free course.
The seven-week course, entitled The Discovery of the Higgs boson, describes the scientific advancements that have led to the building of the Large Hadron Collider, in Switzerland, and to the detection of the boson. It highlights the cross-fertilisation between theory and experiment in particle physics during the past 100 years.
The University of Edinburgh is offering the course as its first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) via the FutureLearn platform.

World Convention at IIMB

Seminar on opportunities in biotechnology
British Council in partnership with Bangalore University, Department of Microbiology & Biotechnology, is organising a one-day seminar on “Opportunities in Biotechnology” on 28 September 2013.
