Air India official accused of sexual assault in US

A senior Air India official at the John F Kennedy Airport here has been accused of sexual assault by a local woman employee of the airline.

A complaint in this regard was filed with the local authorities by an African-American woman on Sunday against Air India's airport manager Anil Sabharwal who has already left the place for New Delhi, sources told reporters. The details of the incident are not clear. The Executive Director Air India for the Americas, Chitra Sarkar, was reached by reporters but she declined to comment.
