RBANMS College emerge champs

»RBANMS First Grade College defeated Al-Ameen College 2-0 via the tie-breaker to emerge champions in the RBANMS inter-collegiate football tournament on Wednesday.
In the regulation time, the score read 1-1, with Prem Kumar striking for RBANMS and Santhosh netting for Al-Ameen.
In the tie-breaker, Satish and Vijay struck for RBANMS to seal the issue.
Results (semifinal): Al-Ameen College 2 (Prakash, Abrar) bt CMRIS, Kasturinagar 0; RBANMS bt Govt R C College 4-1 via shoot-out.

Kushal-Raju enter semifinals
»BCI’s Kushal Agarwal and Raju clawed their way back from a frame down to get the better of KSBA’s Nikhil P and Manish to storm into the semifinals of the XXIII Louis Mathias Handicap doubles snooker tournament on Wednesday.

Divakar sparkles for Dhyanchand HC
»Divakar (23rd, 38th, 39th, 48th) slammed in four goals to lead Major Dhyanchand HC, Dharwad to a facile 9-0 win over East India HC in the KSCA ‘C’ Division hockey league at the KSHA stadium on Wednesday.
Mahesh (31st, 33rd) scored a brace while Mahantesh (9th), Aditya (21st) and Somshekar (34th) were also on target to help their swell the scoreline.

MSRIT to face MVIT in summit clash
»MSRIT and MVIT won their respective semifinal league matches to enter the finals of the 8th MS Ramaiah Memorial state level men’s inter collegiate basketball tournament on Wednesday.
The boys final will be held on Thursday. Meanwhile, in the girls’ category, RVCE booked their place in the final after winning all their league matches on Wednesday and the other finalist will be decided after the last league match on Thursday.

CST, Mundgod edge past DPS, East
»CST Mundgod overcame a spirited fight from DPS, East to clinch the title 5-4 via penalties in the 19th CBSE Cluster VII football tournament at the Akash International School grounds on Wednesday.
The match had finished 1-1 after regulation time. In the third-place playoff, BGS IRS, Kumbalgod, defeated Jain International, Bangalore 5-4 via penalties after scores were locked at 0-0 after normal time.
