Justice A K Patnaik (Madhya Pradesh High Court), Justice T S Thakur (Chief Justice Punjab & Haryana High Court), Justice K S Radhakrishnan (Chief Justice Gujarat High Court) and Justice Surinder Singh Nijjar (Calcutta High Court) would be administered oath of office and secrecy by the Chief Justice of India at Court No I at 10.30 a.m
The appointment of Justice P D Dinakaran, Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court who was also in the initial list of five judges for elevation, has been kept in abeyance by the collegium following allegations of corruption against him.
With the induction of the four judges, the total strength of the Supreme Court judges would go up to 26 as against the sanctioned strength of 31 judges.
