Conmen take woman for a ride

The victim Sarojamma, a resident of Agrahara in the town was heading towards a temple when two unidentified persons intercepted her near General Hospital. They “advised” the gullible woman that it was not safe to wear jewellery and made her to remove the two bangles, rings and mangalasutra she was wearing and pack it in the kerchief, and left the place.

Growing suspicious over the conduct of the “good samaritans” the woman rechecked the jewellery only to find the fake ones. She has lodged a police complaint.
