Six of a family injured in cylinder blast

Six members of a family suffered burns after a cooking gas cylinder exploded at an automobile service station on 10th Cross, Mathikere on Tuesday night.

According to police, an LPG cylinder exploded at Lakshmi Venkateshwara Service Station at around 9.50 pm injuring Muniraju, his wife Siddamma, relatives Dayanand and wife Sanmathi and two children Manasa and Venkatesh. The cause for the blast is yet to be ascertained. The injured have been shifted to Victoria Hospital for treatment.

The building in which the house-cum-shop was situated has been partially damaged due to the blast. A case has been registered.
