Delhi model better than Gujarat, says Dikshit

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday showcased inclusive growth of all sections of society in the city and junked the claims by BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi about development in his state.

“The development model in Delhi has ensured inclusive growth while in Gujarat large sections of the society have been deprived of benefits. Ours is a much better development model,” Dikshit said at a public meeting in Nangloi area in west Delhi.

Dikshit’s attack on Modi comes close to the BJP leader’s remarks at a rally in the city on September 29  terming her as a chief minister who had a very easy job.

“The Congress government cares and shares and does not propagate and promote hatred and division. The quality of life and infrastructure in the capital is being praised by all, whereas a large number of people in Gujarat still lack basic amenities,” she said.

She highlighted her achievements and urged the people to vote for her Congress party for the fourth successive win in Assembly polls. Diskshit cautioned people against being misled by the opposition parties.

“I am confident that people are not going to be misled and as they know we have performed. The development is visible...we will ask people to support us due to our performance,” she said.
