A government panel has recommended opening of schools for religious minorities across the country to improve access of children belonging to these communities.
In its report submitted to the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry recently, the panel, set up by the National Monitoring Committee for Minority Education suggested that at least two residential schools on the pattern of national Navodaya Vidyalaya should be opened in each of the 90 minority concentrated districts.
