KEA to persist with online CET counselling

Last Updated 23 October 2013, 20:27 IST

The newly introduced online counselling for CET (Common Eligibility Test) seats this year caused a great deal of chaos and confusion this year. Yet, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) insists that it will help students get accustomed to the new system for their own benefit.

“No doubt, there have been some problems with the new system. However, students will be gradually acquainted with the system. In any case, the department has been giving them guidance on the ways to go about the process by providing CDs and brochures,” said Ramegowda, KEA executive director.

The online system of counselling was introduced to provide greater convenience to students.

However, it did just the opposite with students and parents having to flock to the KEA office in Malleswaram to enquire about each and every problem.
