Bajrang Dal zonal coordinator Sooryanarayan will inaugurate the Abhiyan by wearing Dattamala. The ‘vrata’ will continue for the next 11 days.

A ‘matrushakti samavesha’ will be held at Sharada Pai Kalyan Mantap on November 24. After ‘sankeertana yatra’ on November 29, all women will visit Dattapeetha and take part in Anasuyadevi Pooja, Durga Homa and Ganapathi Homa.

Rudrahoma will be conducted on November 30. A ‘shobhayatra’ will also be held in the city. Dal national coordinator Praksh Sharma, writer Chakravarthi Soolibele, VHP zonal organising secretary Keshav Hegade and others will take part.

The devotees will have a ‘padayatra’ from Honnammanahalla on December 1 and will
offer Datta Jayanthi Pooja, Pradeep said.

Sene to celebrate

“It has been decided to celebrate Datta Jayanthi in City itself since the Datta Guhe works are incomplete,” said Sri Rama Sene State Convener Arun Puthila.

Addressing a press meet, he said the district administration has denied permission to conduct Dattahoma near Dattapeetha. The sacred ‘padukas’ are not there at the peetha. The repair works are still incomplete. Hence, Datta Jayanthi will be celebrated in City, he said.

After conducting Dattahoma at Dattatreya Temple on Kadur road on December 1, a memorandum will be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner urging quick solution to the Dattapeetha impasse, he said.

A membership drive will be launched on Datta Jayanthi. One lakh new registrations are expected, he said.

Sene has organised Raj Bhavan Chalo through Rath Yatra and Padayatra in order to pressurise the government to ban cow slaughtering. Sri Rama Sene District Convener Prasad Huyigere, Assistant Convener Annappa and Taluk Convener Umeshchandra were present at the press meet.
