‘United Charities...’

The annual ‘United Charities Bazaar 2013’ will be held at the Corporation Playgrounds, opposite St Charles School, Lingarajpuram Main Road, on December 7. Over 100 charities and NGOs will put up stalls to raise funds for their respective causes. The bazaar will include everything from handicrafts and Christmas decorations, table linen and T-shirts, home-made jams and jellies, pickles and pies, cakes and cookies. For details, call 23339339.

‘Namma Ooru...’

An exhibition called Namma Ooru - Namma Neeru, curated by S Vishwanath and Vivek Muthuramalingam, will be held till December 22, from 11 am to 7 pm, at Vismaya Gallery, Rangoli Metro Art Centre. Entry is free. For details, call 25205305.

‘Songs of...’

Bhoomija is presenting ‘Songs of Love and Longing’ by Surupa Sen and
Bijayani Satpathy on December 7, 7.30 pm at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall. Surupa Sen and Bijayani Satpathy will present songs from the Gita Govind. The choreography and narrative text are by Surupa Sen. ‘Sunburn Arena’

‘Samagama’

Krishna Kala Kendra is presenting Samagama, an orchestra of film songs based on classical music, directed by Tirumale Srinivas and Anooru Anantha Krishna Sharma, on December 7, 6 pm onwards at Sri Gangadharaiah Mantapa, Playground, Maruti Layout, Vasantapura.

‘Hands Up...’

School children from Amnesty International India’s Human Rights Education Programme will create art installations to express their visions of a human rights-friendly-world on December 7 and 8, from 10 am to 7 pm, at MG Road Boulevard, Rangoli Metro Arts Centre. The event, called ‘Hands Up for Change’, will have installations in collaboration with students from the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat.

Interactive theatre

Yours Truly Theatre is performing an interactive theatre performance as a tribute to the fans of Sachin on December 8, 6 pm at ADA Rangamandira, JC Road. This is going to be an interactive theatre performance, where the audience will be invited to share their ‘Sachin Moments’. ‘Weaves India...’

‘Weaves India 2013’, the silk and cotton exhibition-cum-sale will be held till December 10 at Chitrakala Parishat. The exhibition is showcasing some of the best silk and cotton products made by artisans from across the country.

‘Rangapravesha’

The bharatanatyam rangapravesha of Tarika Kannan and Nidhusha Kannan will be held on December 8, 6 pm at JSS Auditorium, 1st Main, 8th Block, 38th Cross, Jayanagar. 
 
Comedy act

Kapil Sharma will perform a live comedy act at Jayamahal Palace on December 7, 7 pm. The show is jointly organised by Krafting Success productions and Mysore Ladies Circle9. The tickets for the show are available on www.bookmyshow.com

Dance production

Santhulan, a dance production by Attakkalari, will be staged at the Alliance Francaise on December 7, 5 pm and 7.30 pm.

This production is primarily aimed at bringing together community dancers and
professional dancers from different backgrounds and enabling them to create a work unique to their styles.

The show at 5 pm will include performances by children. The show at 7.30 pm
will feature contemporary dance performances by other community students ending with a grand finale by the members of Attakkalari’s internationally reputed repertory company.
