'Bhagavadgeetha Abhiyan' from November 25



Addressing a news conference on Saturday, Committee Vice-President and Convener Pradeep Kumar Kalkura said that the programme will be inaugurated on November 25 at 4 pm at Sanghanikethan hall by Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.

The programme will be presided over by District-in-Charge Minister Krishna J Palemar. Minister Vishweshwara Hegade Kageri, MLA B Ramanath Rai, Yogish Bhat, U T Khader, Mayor M Shanker Bhat and others will the guests of honour.

Kalkura said that the Abhiyan has seen success in many parts of the State, especially in Uttar Karnataka and as a part of the Abhiyan, seminars, discussions, cultural programmes on Bhagavadgeetha will be held. While programme will be open for all special programmes will be offered for primary and high school students.

Bhagavadgeeta as a solution

Kalkura opined that in a society where violence, problems in social and personal lives and psychological problems are on the rise, Bhagavadgeetha comes as a solution for the same.

He said that in couple of months a public recital of Bhagavadgeetha will be organised on a large scale in the city.
